The fear of coming out in The #UMC

The fear of coming out in The #UMC.

Powerful witness!

I have see friends leave because our UMC, my UMC, is not the UMC that they feel would be John Wesley’s UMC. As a member of RMN and as a member of SPECTRUM at Drew Theo School I feel for my friends and dear loved ones, my Family, my CHURCH FAMILY!

I ask myself “How could I be a part of a Church that hurts people for simple being who they are?”

I have hope! As we heard from the Pulpit o World Aids day, The World is About To Turn, but the world turns very slowly.

In this season of Advent, I hope, I pray, and I wait, for JOY!

John Wesley? Spectrum? You’ve got to be joking.
People “being who they are” is not Wesleyan. What we can become (by the Grace of God) is.

    1. Thank you for voicing another one of Wesley’s wonderful teachings; We are always ‘Moving On Toward Perfection.’
Wesley’s first and foremost teaching of course is that of Grace! Which follows The Greatest Commandment; Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

I think that Wesley’s Principles On Social Justice will prevail.

      I have hope!
