For today’s word I look back to my Judaic Studies Professors at the University of Albany and thank them for the education they worked so hard to provide. So for today’s word, EVIL, I have chosen Kristallnaght.

I understand neither the picture nor the word; please enlighten me. Thank you.

    1. The link that the word Kristallnaght links you to provides the information you are looking for “Kristallnacht, literally, “Night of Crystal,” is often referred to as the “Night of Broken Glass.” The name refers to the wave of violent anti-Jewish pogroms which took place on November 9 and 10, 1938, throughout Germany, annexed Austria, and in areas of the Sudetenland in Czechoslovakia recently occupied by German troops.”

Many thanks to the Unites States Memorial Holocaust Museum and to the Judaic Studies Department for continuing to teach with integrity and honor to the past.
